Re: Buyers scammed me

It is up to you if you accept change of mind returns

You say they asked for a refund

Did they open a not as described dispute?

I hope you did not sell an expensive item to someone overseas.

As sandy asked though, has the buyer actually opened an ebay claim?

When I look at your name, I see a feedback score of only 2. When I click on it, I can't see any results for you as a seller. Now, for all I know, you may have multiple accounts on ebay, you might be an experienced seller. But generally when people see a score of 2, they suspect it is someone who is probably new or newish to ebay.

Some scammers will target these people as they know they are inexperienced.

Your best bet is not to sell expensive items on ebay, not to start with, and not to sell at all to anyone outside Australia. You need to build up a bit of experience & a bit of feedback before you try any of that. Also ebay has a 30 day hold on funds for new sellers.

You may need to give us more details about the sale, maybe item number or what country it was sold to etc, if the buyer has opened a claim or just asked you privately for a refund before we could give you more help.
