You can send a revised invoice with 0 as postage cost BUT ebay will still charge you the fees for the postage or once they paid you can refund the postage costs.

If you send the revised invoice then do not click on recalculate or it will revert to the original postage cost

it's been a long time since i've sold anything at auction - but if you locate his transaction in the area of your "my ebay" relating to sales, there should be a drop-down menu where you can select to send him a revised invoice. on the invoice, you should be able to alter the postage cost or remove it, or if you can't, at least add a deduction for the value of the postage cost.

alternatively, if the buyer pays by paypal and has already paid, you can do a partial refund and refund the postage amount :]

there's a lot of people on here that use auctions frequently, so they may have better advice.

If the buyer hasn't paid, go to the item on your My Selling page and click the dropdown on the right. Select "send invoice". When it opens, change the postage amount to $0.00. Leave a note if you like, then submit. Don't do anything else. When the buyer pays, you will only be charged fees on the purchase price. As you're not charging a cost for postage, you won't be charged any fees on the original postage. However, if they pay before you send the invoice, then you will pay fees on the postage component.

The fees on the postage are added to the bill the moment the sale takes place when there is a postage cost.

Changing the invoice does not remove that postage fee.

Maybe I've just been lucky because when I've sent a revised invoice, including removing the postage cost, the fees have been adjusted accordingly. If I sell 10 items to the same buyer each with $10 postage and I combine the order to just $10 postage, I only pay fees on the $10. I have had a couple of local pick ups where I removed the cost and I didn't pay any fees on postage. Same as when a buyer had bought and paid for one thing, then decided they wanted another and I was happy to post together. I removed the postage cost on the second item and didn't pay any fees on the removed postage costs.

That's only applicable on items that have immediate payment required where no invoice is sent/used,(the FVF's on

postage are only charged after the item and postage have been paid for).

That's why they have the invoice,(so that changes can be made before the item and postage is paid).

I've always used the invoice to reduce or remove a postage amount for multiple items and other reasons and

I've only ever been charged for the amended postage.
