Can I send a combined postage invoice after buyer has completed checkout?

I have a buyer who purchased 5 items in total, completed checkout (bank payment) for two, purchased three more completed check out once again (bank payment). The buyer has sent a message requesting that I combine postage, happy to do this. Except that ebay are saying I cannot send a revised invoice due to buyer may have already paid. I have asked buyer to request combine postage invoice from their side. Is there another way around this, as ebay's fees have been charged on each of the item's postage. Hope this is clear enough for you knowledged filled ebayers to help. Thank you

If they have only completed checkout stating they will pay, the buyer can unmark all items as paid.

Then you should be able to send a new invoice which will override earlier ones.

I doubt it'll reverse the fees on postage that have already been charged.
