Can ebay please, delete all the ads for toilet paper because the big hype,

To whom it may concern,

Because the big hype, regarding toilet paper, and some people buying ridiculous amounts and than try to make money out of this on ebay , is not something to exept!  Please can you delete these ads? It is not fair, these people are buying so much, so other people are not able to do their normal shopping anymore!

Thank you

Kind regards A. Willems

Prices inflated above prevailing market value: Listings that attempt to profit from tragedies and disasters (such as the Coronavirus outbreak) are prohibited.❞

It's a good statement. I hope that listing attempts to profit from COVID-19 are swiftly managed in line with the statement.

It's ridiculous, isn't it?

I'm glad that we have plenty of soap here. My sister for some reason thought I would like goat soap, so she gave some to me towards the end of last year. I have two boxes of soap from Penhaligon's. Sadly I have run out of my favourite soap in all the world - Taylor of Old Bond Street hand soap in rose (oh! the delicious smell of it!) but I thought it would be ridiculous to order some more just because I love its fragrance when i still have so much soap here.

Are people going crazy buying alcohol-based hand sanitisers because they think sanitisers are better than using hand soap? (They would be wrong to think so.) Or is it more that people want the sanitisers to take with them, out and about, in case they touch things or accidentally shake hands...?

I note that people are apparently also panic-buying rice. Hmm. The only rice that we buy is SunRice® Doongara™ Low GI White Clever Rice®, as a family member was diagnosed with diabetes (although I'm 99% sure that we have successfully reversed it). After I had begun researching low-GI foods, it made sense to choose low-GI options where possible. (But... I cannot make paella with it. I've tried all sorts of tricks and techniques... no. It does not work.

I did post a reply but it appears someone took offence. The fact remains that the shelves are empty in the supermarkets. I'm down to my last roll lol so Ebay need to stop allowing these listings. They should put a blanket ban on toilet paper sales, if people want to buy it online, they can order directly from the stores for home delivery which is what I'll be having to do. Idiots

From what I have heard, it looks like you can order online but the order goes to the shop and when they go to pack, if the day's supplies have sold out, you won't get that item.

Aldi. Try Aldi. They open about 8.30am, go in about 9am and you should be in luck. Everyone is racing into Coles & Woolies. But yesterday Aldi had stocks till 9.30am and it was all very civilised with most people calmly just taking one or two packs.

My local Coles was completely emptied of TP a couple of days ago, but Aldi still had a modest amount left on the shelves (with a limit of 4 packs per customer in force).

I think his post is more about if EBay delete the ads then these sellers won’t be able to sell the loo rolls hence they will not be in a hurry to go out and purchase more and that means there will be some left for people who are desperate for toilet rolls as they have run out. It is ridiculous, so glad Coles has now limited to one packet of loo rolls so people are not able to take 4 packs of 36 rolls at once and can only buy daily

As I said many posts ago, I very much doubt any of these rolls (at 100s per) have been paid for.

The limit is per transaction. There is nothing to stop somebody from going back in as many times as they like until stocks run out.

I saw on the news tonight that we've started a trend - panic buying of toilet paper is spreading globally.

That would be why the news website had a photo of people lining up outside Aldi since 5am, with the line being over 500m long. I know I keep saying it, but people are IDIOTS. I wouldn't call many civilised at the moment, they have turned into feral animals.

Funny how 2 months ago, we were coming together as a nation, to support those affected by drought and bushfires, and now those same people are wanting to gouge each others eyes out over a product that was NEVER going to run out. Again I say, people are IDIOTS.
