Create a normal listing with the title something like "Special order xxxxxx" and send the item number to your buyer so they can find it.
Use your normal description so that the buyer has full details of what they are buying. I would recommend not putting any relevant key words in the title to miminise the risk of somebody else buying the item. You can also put a generic pic as your gallery pic.

You can list it as Private listing for XXXXXXXXXX (ebayID) in the title.
Put one photo and one line description.
List it as fixed price, BIN.
Then message the buyer with the item number.
If you want to make sure no one else buys it, list it with a large BIN price with make an offer.
Then message the buyer and tell them to put in the agreed price as the offer which you then accept.

Thanks to both of you 🙂
I cant help thinking that since ebay is so strict about the "don't seel outside of ebay" policy, wouldn't you think they actually have a way to do private listings without having to worry about someone else grabbing it? I really thought there would be a way to list something for a single user ID....
