I had a buyer from a country that I don't post to, wrote to them and said postage would be expensive and difficult and I would cancel the sale if they wanted to. Didn't hear back so after I week I put in a cancellation request (problem with address) and it is now sitting there with a message saying waiting for the buyer to confirm they had got a refund - well, they had not paid, as I couldn't provide a postage amount, so not sure how that works. Then today, 2 days later, I get a message from the buyer providing a US address to send it to. So my question is, can I cancel the cancellation? I can't see any process for doing that but thought maybe it does exist.
If the cancellation of the cancellation can't be done is it possible to relist the item again for a specific buyer (while of course it's still sitting there in the sold section on my page)?
Confused!

It's not possible for the seller to cancel a cancellation, but the buyer is usually asked to confirm that they didn't pay for it, or that they received a full refund (I don't know what happens if the buyer confirms in the negative, though, i.e. if the request is pending, they pay and then respond to the request saying that they did pay, presumably that would mean the transaction stands on eBay with no FVF credited back, but I don't know what else would happen, re: defects, refunds and so forth).
I recently cancelled a transaction at the buyer's request, but they never confirmed anything in response, then came back and bought other items and paid for everything in one payment, including the item that was pending cancellation (cancelled items remain in the buyer's cart, so sometimes they can mistakenly pay for it). They said they wanted it after all, so I posted off all items together, and then a few days later the transaction was "cancelled" by eBay because the request timed out without a response (but, that just means the FVF were credited to me, nothing else happened as far as I know).

How did a buyer from a country you don't post to mange to buy your item?
I thought that the postage information does not display for such buyers and they get a message along the lines of "Seller does not post to your country"
Anyway, the whole thing seems a bit suspicious.
Have you googled the US address they provided?
Have you looked at their feedback?

That only happens if you have your buyer preferences set to exclude buyers with a primary delivery address that you do not post to.
If you just have no quoted international postage cost then those from overseas can still bid or buy but cannot pay until you add a delivery charge.

Thanks phorum.
I wonder how it decides which is the primary delivery address?
In other words the buyers address on Ebay could be in the UK (where I do post), but the delivery address on PP could be in France (where I don't post).
