Chinese sellers a bit worrying and something I find hard to understand

The last couple of months I have been searching Ebay a lot looking for possible items to sell. One thing I have noticed is a lot of categories have Chinese sellers Shop based in China that are selling items from Australia that by itself is fine but they are selling just over wholesale price. Short term that may be great for buyers but it will mean eventually only Chinese sellers will be here and of course the price will creep up and I can not imagine the service is going to be A1.

Now I am confused why this is happening to me it seems like China is trying to make Australia an extension of their market cutting out the middleman/reseller which I do not understand whoever these sellers are they much be investing a large amount $100s of thousands in each item and they sell multiple items so we are talking millions of dollars or something like the manufacturer is importing and selling direct which is like me saying I do not want to use a postal service so every day I jump in my car and set off to deliver everything myself which would not be a wise move.

I have noticed a fair few of these sellers in Darwin and Sydney I am sure they will be in other places to. The ones in Sydney I get a feeling they are some sort of holding/forwarding service the ones in Darwin I feel they have representatives there (could well be wrong just what I feel)

There are a lot of people who don't understand that there are several price levels for the same item....and the item can be, shall we say trimmed at the factory, reduced in quality or parts of the machine can be reduced in quality to meet your price.

And it is possible to get a deal for less than 100 units or the container load they are asking for.

Some Chinese sellers in Australia drop ship from trade wholesale people, despite claiming their operation is Australian based.

Dealing with the Chinese can be difficult for newcomers.   But life is a learning experience so learn a bit before getting there.

I can not even sell at the prices they do if I purchase 100 units even if I avoided paying import duty and GST (which I assume they do not pay)

I am pretty sure they are not dropshipping I think the items are in Australia with a holding company who deliver. I am assuming they save on postage I have to pay Auspost price I assume they get deliveries at a courier price and possibly somewhere in the region of $5 saving $8+ they must be getting the items below what I can get them even if I buy a pallet load so they are either buying in extremely large quanities or they are manufactures.

Im curious how you know what their wholesale price is?

If they are buying / importing directly from China, from personal experience, the wholesale prices are less than 1/4 of what you get here (that includes whats on aliexpress / alibaba as well).

I understand what you are saying but the fact is these sellers are undercutting even other sellers from China They still would have had to pay to import the items then on top of that they will have to pay whatever they pay to get it delivered in Australia also whatever is happening with the items here there must be some cost if they use some type of holding/delivery service that will cost if they have a family member or friend here that holds and ships the items out they are going to require some payment unless there is a long term plan where there will be more money earned later.

If there is nothing dubious about the feedback (such as no receipt, quality lower than expected, etc.) they could merely be undercutting the opposition in the shortterm to get a customer base going, then introduce more, pricier items later on...

Feedback looks right the more I look at it the more it looks , to me, they are deliberately undercutting the competition to get rid of us reminds me of when Woollies kept dropping the price of fruit and veg to force the fruit and veg shops to close
