OK - can I just get some quickie kinda answers from those-who-use-and-know......cos I tried asking eBay AND AP and both wanna handball back to the other and it is very frustrating. I did get sent to a pdf of a 100+ booklet - also frustrating - and get this, you can't get a hard copy cos everyone is too cheap to produce one....so you have to read all the rules & regs, in over 100 pages, online, and print up bits yourself if you want to refer back to something without opening up the pdf again etc etc.
1. I have 500g + 3kg eBay greenish, decorated mailing satchels....with what seems (to me) -- to be a clear plastic pocket on the BACK.
Is this where the receiver's name and address show - once you print up postage? So you are effectively addressing the BACK of the satchel?
2. Where does one put their own "Sender's Address".....or is that also on the same bit of paper that goes in the clear window?
(So the clear plastic window has to display the recipient, the sender AND the postage? And it "looks" like it is on the parcel reverse?)
3. So click and send offers discount rates with AP...OK....what does it currently cost via click and send.....to send a 500g size / rate / whatever......satchel?
And what does it cost to send a 3kg one?
BTW - notice how the 500g satchel rate is the one NOT given a discount or something, but a 10% break "for awhile".
Wanna know why?
COS - it is the ONLY FORM of satchels that AP did not increase THEIR rate for in the recent hike. My PO told me - "reassured me" the 500g size pre-paid satchel was not increasing in price.....which explains why eBay is not giving a cut on it....AP would lose out, because they haven't hiked it first, to then "discount" it.
So I am most curious to know - as asked - what the prices for those 2 mentioned sizes are to send - using click and send.
Just like listings, all the data required, the copious pages of help or tabs or "click here" and stuff one has to contend with & plough through to half-function here.....it is NOT made easy for any newbie, IMHO. I'm glad I found the boards with real people who have done this stuff before and know stuff first hand.....hence my questions. I tried the other avenues - directly - and got people who didn't know a thing (re click n send). And I'm tired of them not listening to the Qs.....I get "would you like me to walk you through how to do a listing?"......when I ask a simple question like...."Does it cost me to end a listing?". Chalk and cheese - why?
"Lost in translation"????

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. $7.15 and $11.70
The 500g satchel rate went up 20c in the last increase, none of the other C&S services did. 500g aren't discounted by eBay, I presume, because they are the most popular product. The AP satchels are totally different to eBay C&S ones, and POs don't supply or get postage for them, so your PO is talking about AP ones. And the discounts only apply if you generate the labels through eBay, not C&S.

EDIT: Ahh, dave and his succinctness strikes again. 😄
A 500gm satchel via C&S is currently $7.15, and a 3kg satchel is $11.70 (plus the satchel cost and label printing costs).
Technically, the label pouch is on the back, but the labels you print contain all the information needed - they print 4 to a page, and have both the sender's (your) name and address, plus the recipient's.
Just in case it helps, this is the basic "anatomy" of a label - top right-hand corner contains a QR code, bottom right has the article (tracking) number and barcode, which I've blanked out as this is just a screen shot from one of my own labels - your name and address is in the box underneath where you sign. (NB I print them in greyscale when I use C&S, to save on colour ink - there's never been a problem doing it that way).

But just as an addit - thanks for the "Anatomy Lesson" digital*ghost......also succinct, very helpful (not as much fun as high-school anatomy was - but a heck of a lot more useful )
