Does anyone know if using click and send for international parcels either with regular air mail /registered post /pack n track Int'l qualifies for proof of shipment or do they need to be lodged over the counter?

I know air mail doesn't qualify if you send over the counter, but wondering if sending air mail by using click and send would qualify. Thnx in advance

Re: Click n Send international as proof of shipment?

For any click & send or pack & track parcel you have to post over the counter to make sure the tracking is implemented, sometimes if you post direct into a postbox they miss out on being tracked and then you have no proof.

I don't sell overseas so have no idea what else you need for seller protection. 99% of the time for purchases from overseas you need proof of delivery, not just proof of posting.

Any international parcels must be lodged over the counter (that's what I was told by AP)

I use both registered and pack & track, via Click & Send, and they both provide proof of postage as they each have numbers that show up on the receipt (so I can show that A) I created a label for the correct address, then B) lodged it). Registered International isn't trackable when in Australia or via Australia Post's website at all, but it can show up on the destination country's post service website and be fully tracked there, and it requires a signature on delivery which can be confirmed with AP if you need proof of delivery.

Pack & track is fully trackable via Aus Post, but doesn't get a signature on delivery.

The main thing with processing an international mail item via C&S, though, is that no matter which service you use, you can only generate the label (as mentioned above, you can not pay for an international article via C&S - you still have to take the package into a PO and get them to process it), and just creating a label is not enough for proof of post, you also need to show a corresponding lodgement, and that can't happen unless the service has a tracking number or some other form of proof that that specific article was sent - international packages get assigned a unique customs number, but that won't show up on your receipt, or give you any lodgement or tracking results - very occasionally, the customs number will be tracked in the OS country and will show results on their postal service website, but so far I've found that it never is in the US or UK (it usually is in Canada, though).

Also, as PJ mentioned, when an international buyer purchases from you, their PayPal / eBay buyer protection takes precendence, and many OS policies require proof of delivery, and registered / Pack & track are the only two non-express services that provide that, assuming the package is actually delivered as well as scanned / processed correctly.
