I got a refund but was not easy as they wanted to only pay what I paid for the item not what I sold it for.

Okay, Now let me get my "head" around this one !!!

You Purchase an item for say $80, it was sent to you, but AP somehow "Lost it" during Transit. They Do the RIGHT THING, and REFUND YOU $80 Plus your Postage Cost. OK ? 

SO you did not Loose Out.

 

Australia Post do not Sell your Retail Items, Nor do you Sell their's !!!  ( l assume)

 

How on earth would AP know what value to put on your item, Retail wise. They DO NOT

Conduct Business, on that Platform.

What about the non-refundable eBay fees?

 

Or don't they count?

It was low value and cost me minimal due to a bulk purchase and I told them I was selling well below retail so they did pay the full amount.

No I sold an item and it was stolen and Aust Post only want to pay you what it cost you.

In my case I had to supply a copy of the eBay invoice - they refunded what the buyer had paid for the item (old book) plus the cost of the satchel postage.
