Customs clearance delays OUT of Australia?

Has anyone from Australia heard that there is a 4 week delay in customs clearance OUT of Australia? Ihave had 2 overseas buyers contact me this past week with questions about items that have not yet arrived. I spoke to an Australia Post rep who told me that they received and email regarding delays in customs clearances due to incorrectly filled out documentation. Just curious to know if anyone else is having similar troubles? Thanks in advance, Dave

I read that as delays if documentation is incorrect, not a blanket delay.

The way it was explained to me is that there are so many items being posted overseas that have inaccurate description of goods ie: no declaration of batteries, perfume etc that it is now holding up overseas mail. I will see if I can get a copy of the email as it may be handy for sellers to note on their selling page. Cheers, Dave.
