Day Light Saving - gggrrr

Why can't Qld get with the program?? Off I bounce into the AC or Discussions coz there's a Q or Post that is new......only to find it is an hour old already....too much for this old brain!

Re: Day Light Saving - gggrrr

I'm in Melbourne, so if someone posts on the boards from Qld in summer and I answer, am I too early?  :^O

Seriously, I'm all for standardising, it just makes sense.

Sorry, back on topic-I have no comment

Re: Day Light Saving - gggrrr

Please have a heart greencat. I'm in Brisbane and it's full daylight at 5.00am - if we do daylight saving, I'll have to get up to feed the cat and dog (and kids) at 4.00am! On the other hand, if you can teach the critters not to wake me for breakfast when the sun comes up, I'm with you. Also have husband who constantly whinges about having to get up at 3.00am to catch a flight that gets him to Sydney for a 9.00am meeting. I just wish everyone would leave me alone - it's not my fault!

Peace and goodwill to all.

Be thankful you don't live in WA.

If you do daylight saving, the clocks go forward an hour. The sun would get up at 6 instead of 5. That's the point of it. Extra daylight at the useful end of the day.

Re: Day Light Saving - gggrrr

I hated it when the kids were younger, they were up later and nasty TV shows on earlier, which they wanted to watch too because all their friends did (I wouldn't let them anyway and there were always arguments over it).

I hate getting up too early, it makes me grumpy, and if I'm grumpy I don't see why everyone else isn't, so there was that to contend with as well and don't even get me started on my faded curtains!

Re: Day Light Saving - gggrrr

You are such a naughty cat !

I live in Perth and with a 3 hour time difference I just remember what the difference is between various states and WA and I don't care about daylight saving. It's been trialed here enough times for me to never want to experience it again.
