Does 'Mark as Sent' means Ebay will charge postage commission ?

If a buyer 'picks up' instead of postage, and I select 'mark as sent', will Ebay charge commission on the postage, even if it never occurred? If I don't 'mark as sent' I'm stuck with a constant selling reminder that I have 'an item to post'. Any advice anyone?

Re: Does 'Mark as Sent' means Ebay will charge postage commission ?

On a local pick-up or delivery item, I just re-invoice with $0.00 shipping, and then hit "Payment Received" and "Mark as sent".

Contrary to some responses above, I do not use postage labels, and I am charged a commission on postage.

============== Side note on International shipping

In regards to International shipping, unlike the US site which charges commission on either the domestic shipping charge, or the international charge only if it is cheaper than the quoted domestic charge, the Australian site charges commission on the full international postage, which actually makes it much more costly to sell internationally from Australia than America.
