I was recently scammed by a buyer, a law student, He claimed that he does not know how to install a laser and that the 'defective ' laser could be installed by anyone and that I don't have any evidence. This could very well be true if this was done by someone he knew. (unless he is claiming that I planted it myself or the postman did it). If tampering of such device is treated as a criminal offence, there could be telltales of fingerprints and possibly DNA. If *removed*'s claims are genuine, the evidences would point to someone other than him.
Fact is that I was returned a CD player with the Incompatible 'defective' laser and only became aware of the scam when I took it out and was able to examine it closely

Sorry? I have not committed to buy anything! A police report? Please provide me with more information as I have no idea what you are talking about. what is exactly your accusation?

You did not respond to any of my 5 messages sent on the 13rd and 14th of June. Only when you became aware that police might be involved through a one sentence message, you responded.
You wrote "Sorry? I have not committed to buy anything!..." So all along you have no commitment to buy. Even when you accepted the offer and paid for it. Ridiculous! you are a law student unless you meant you personally see no commitment as you will use the EBay buyer guarantee- no matter what! So you planned the process all along, after careful considerations using your legal understanding. What could be your purpose of going through with it when you can simply refused to pay for it.

what were you sorry about? You changed your apologetic tone.
EBAY Buyer protection offer ABSOLUTELY NO protection to seller!

I see ebay edited his listing after I reported it several weeks ago, but even though they X'd out the user ID, it still links to the buyers account. Plus there's the addition of that photo. My guess is if eBay get enough reports, this fool could see his selling priviliges curtailed because he continues to violate policy after the listing had already been edited.
I really have to ask, WHO in their right mind would think they'd get $337 for a DEFECTIVE piece of junk that is a dime a dozen? I'm guessing this listing is nothing more than a naming and shaming exercise, given the high price for rubbish. Probably not a good move if the buyer is a law student, because law students are very gung ho and would gladly take someone to court for the real life work experience.
Numpty of the year right here!
