EBay cancelled an order

I've received an email from ebay saying that they have cancelled an order and closed the buyers account and no longer registered.

The buyer has paid and the money has been processed.

I'm not sure how to proceed with this sale now.

There would have been a very good reason for closing the buyer's account.

Possibly a  scammer  ?

If the order's been cancelled, the buyer would be refunded.

BUT, was the item expensive, like your current listing  ?

Did the buyer really pay  or 'pretend' to pay ?

Was the payment  showing in your seller hub ?

Possible stolen credit card  payment ?

And as an aside, you haven't sold for a long time so eBay will see you as a new seller

Are you registered to sell and signed up for managed payments ?

"The buyer has paid and the money has been processed"

I'm also not sure what you mean when you say 'processed'.

As a new seller, even if you are signed up for managed payments and the payment was 'real',

your payment would be on hold.

Did you receive some kind of message / email telling you that payment had been made , which could well

have been 'fake'.   This is what scammers do.

The payment would have  been refunded to the buyer if the sale was cancelled.

Do not send the item. Your objective is to avoid the worst case where you send the item and some time later Ebay debits your account.
