I am getting really annoyed in finding reports that state my deliveries are late in arriving to buyer. I have spoken to eBay about this previously and get the same answer, it is automated because of eBay estimated delivery. I know in the end it does not mean much, I know I am doing the right thing in posting quickly.
I have in all listings 3 business days handling, but always post same day as payment received, or next day if payment made at night, at no time do I sit on a parcel, yet eBay find it upon themselves to report my parcels as being delivered late. Do they not understand that once posted it is out of sellers hands, even express post now takes longer. Don't know if this has happened to any other sellers.

But the listing was showing 8.25 and I thought how can you get express for that price.
I also thought phones were a no no in express service but it appears AP have amended their rules allowing small devices with lithium batteries as shown in newdeals's post.
EDIT - Of course as dave points out that must be surface mail. So express post is out with lithium batteries.

If you are sending your items as letters, then Ebay's estimates can be way off.
If you sed your letters with a priority sticker, the postage estimates are fairly accurate.
But letters with no sticker now take much longer than they used to. And Ebay doesn't offer a way to segregate these two postage speeds on listings, so both types get the same estimate.
I'm not sure if parcels are also slower since priority letters were introduced... mine seem to arrive fairly quickly.

I do lodge the parcels with Aust Post over counter, wth tracking. I have had two lots of about 5, the first lot I found by accident when going through my reports, I complained about them to eBay, they said too late, can't fix. The five last late deliveries I got were for items posted this way, but eBay say it is an automated and can't fix it. It is taking 4 days for Aust Post to deliver in same city only a few suburbs away. It is all about eBay's estimated delivery system. I have had one complaint from a seller saying delivery was late but she paid late and moved house before item arrived, but blamed me, that one got overturned by eBay as I had proof of payment and lodgement of parcel dates. I am only a hobbie seller, not a business, just feels like as a seller you do the right thing, but still they find a way to ping you. I don't like bombarding buyers with emails, but from now on will send a short email saying item posted for every itme posted. Thanks for comments.

I had the same problem with a late defect as I did at the time have 1 day handling which I have changed to 3. Item was purchased late Friday to late to pack and catch the post office.
Posted Monday and of it went. Following the tracking it was not collected at the designated post office and was redirected so yes delivery did take some time but was the fault of the buyer.
Phone CS and was told I should have posted earlier than two days later (on the Monday) I explained it was the weekend and said this was ridiculous!
CS response and I quote. ""Well you can always sell elsewhere if you do not like our policies "" I was dumbfounded at the response being a powerseller and top rated. My only response was an adjective I cannot post and I hung up. EBAY SERVICE AT ITS BEST.!!!!
