Ebay Sales Down

Hi everyone, hope everyone here is safe. I have been on Ebay for a while now and in the past 2 days i have realized a massive drop in sales. I have been listing on a daily basis, editing item photos, qualified for ebay top rated service. I am not sure what happened for everything to go on halt. Is anyone going through the same scenario ?? is there ways to overcome this drop ?? Thoughts and ideas will be greatly appreciated.

There are a couple of other topics discussing the same thing - a few sellers have also experienced sudden drops in sales.

Some of those had recently signed up for eBay's new managed payments service - have you also, by chance?

Hi thank you for the reply. Yes i did sign up to ebay managed payment 2 days ago, thinking that i am doing the right thing.

Cultural heritage objects including artefacts, fossils, relics and cave formations
Downloadable products and virtual items
Gift cards, coupons and vouchers
Inhalers and nebulizers
Motor vehicles
Real estate
Services
Smoking cessation products including nicotine patches and gum
Throwing axes, collectable knives, swords, blades and martial art weapons
Tickets for travel, events or experiences

Geez, you'd think eBay would have the common sense to warn a seller that they have listings that make them ineligible for MP before allowing them to sign on.

Yup, sales virtually non-existant since I signed up for managed payments on Saturday.

Only had one single sale today and that was from a repeat buyer who must have had this particular item on his watch list and could go in and quickly reorder.

I did start a thread on my situation yesterday as my shop has been trending upwards and to have 5 days without a sale is not normal.

Hi thank you for your post. Before i signed up to ebay managed payments i confirmed with ebay through the call back option that my items are fine and they are not restricted. They even mentioned that because i have received the email invitation that means my account have been checked and passes all the checks for restricted items.

I just chatted to eBay customer service, and they were a total waste of time, as they kept going on about most sales on eBay no are sanitary products due to the Pandemic (which is totally untrue). As a matter of fact the customer service officer i was chatting to was very rude and he said ebay can not tell buyers what to buy, so if you are not getting any sales, it's your problem. 

Wow .. Shocking answers ... 

i will just be patient and see how things go.

I was the same, at the peak of the Pandemic, my sales were going up, which i understand that comes from people are stuck at home and most of them including me, was shopping mainly online. But the coincidence that right after i signed up to EMP my sales dropped to zero, is concerning. 

Customer service didn't bother offering any advice. He was so rude, and he even said we will add your business to the list of other businesses reported the same thing. 

I am very disappointed with the answers i received from ebay CS.
