I just got an email from eBay explaining that they:
'took the following actions to benefit your seller performance record:
-Removed low detailed seller ratings
-Item as described: 1
-Communication: 1
Note that these removals were the result of patterns identified by eBay's
detection systems and/or cumulative reports from you and other sellers.
They may be related to transactions that occurred any time over the past
several months.
We excluded low detailed seller ratings or cases you got during this
evaluation period simply because they were left by too few buyers.'
I must admit, this is nice. But it does make me wonder who gave me those DSRs, and why they would give me positive feedback if there was such a problem?
Anyone know how to tell who leaves what DSRs? I know it's supposed to be anonymous, but there might be some trick to it.

It is a discussion forum.
DSR system is being discussed.

@freightcar
I'm not arguing, I'm having what I believe to be a polite, respectful discussion with someone - we are not even in disagreement on the majority of points raised in relation to DSRs, I have just been making a point about why I take issue with certain aspects of how eBay uses the ratings sellers receive from buyers.

Please see above comment.... :8} :^O

Why, don't you like it?
Neither of those matter much as they are not real names - in my case it's classed as "term of endearment"
You sound like a sweetie, so that was the first thing that came to mind.

You miss the point.
Some people, including buyers, don't like being called such "terms of endearment."
In the context of this discussion thread, I reckon it could get you a 1 DSR rating for communication if your communications to buyers were full of it.

I know its a discussion, Like is said, there are great points and they are worth debating. Its how things improve.
The point I am making is two:
Its not a discussion when you get personal because someone disagrees with your opinion,
It seems some like to flog a dead horse and argue for the sake of arguing.
But if you want to make it personal I am fine with that aswell however I thought the idea was to discuss things that help the posters, not fight over who is right, wrong or an idiot.

Freight maybe read the purpose of what the discussion boards are about - but essentially it is to discuss things.
