I just got an email from eBay explaining that they:
'took the following actions to benefit your seller performance record:
-Removed low detailed seller ratings
-Item as described: 1
-Communication: 1
Note that these removals were the result of patterns identified by eBay's
detection systems and/or cumulative reports from you and other sellers.
They may be related to transactions that occurred any time over the past
several months.
We excluded low detailed seller ratings or cases you got during this
evaluation period simply because they were left by too few buyers.'
I must admit, this is nice. But it does make me wonder who gave me those DSRs, and why they would give me positive feedback if there was such a problem?
Anyone know how to tell who leaves what DSRs? I know it's supposed to be anonymous, but there might be some trick to it.

The DSR has a lot to be desired simply because it relies on peoples honesty. So if someone has a vendetta or just doesn't want to be nice they can manipulate it a little. This effects someone more when their business is young, not so much as it grows.
In saying that it is a great tool for buyers as it gives great information regarding who they are dealing with.
This however doesn't have anything to do with to OP's Question, it does however make for great debate as to how to change it.....

Discussion topic is about DSRs - the OPs post raises a range of issues about DSRs and rating process.
In relation to your posts some are reportable as the:
POST DOES NOT RELATE TO DISCUSSION TOPIC
Here let me help you out a little if you need to feel you need to report someone:-
Obviously you need to feel your a little more intelligent then others and like to stir up a bit of a stink.
I always wonder why some people feel this need? Is it because you were unloved as a child? or just because you are obnoxious? I think the latter..... You seem like the kind of person who's parents had to tie sausages round their neck so the dog would play with them.
I think if you were triplets, you would have been the one that was bottled fed.

Deja, my posts about reporting were an aside, and in one case answering a question you asked. Probably self reported now.
I am always surprised that someone would even attempt to "project" their own deficiencies onto other posters in a discussion thread - hats off to you, you do it well, and it does serve to demonstrate well the type of poster you are.

Hi JHOS,
I am with cat's - terms of endearment (if truly intended in the first place to be sincere 😉 )
are a bit OTT for the boards, to the point of being condescending. Of course this is JMO sweetness. :-x

'I do not want to be seen by anyone as an obsessive seller that doesn't cope well with criticism. '
That's kind of what this thread has become ]:)

indeed 😛

Well, I suppose it still relates to DSRs being troublesome!

can't see that link at all
but I can see another

terms of endearment should not be used on discussion boards because they could be confused with others' ids.
I did a quick search of sellers with "sweetpea" in their id and there are 14 sellers with some variation so to avoid any confusion it is best to stick to the id of the person you are addressing.
JHOS had 4 revisions but at least 3 of them were back in 2009 so the rules that were applied back then might not be the same rules re DSRs and feedback we have to work under today.
I asked a question about ebay removing dsr way back on a previous page but have forgotten the post number. I will go looking for it and hopefully I might get some opinions or answers.
