Ebay closed a case incorrectly in buyers favour when I did everything correctly as a seller

Hi Guys, Has anyone experienced this sort of behaviour from ebay. I have a case going on and its not getting resolved as ebay is just passing the buck around and passing me from department to department. I sold an item and posted it via Fedex to Argentina (while buyer only paid Australia post shipping!). The item got stuck in their customs due to Argentina's strict and often corrupt customs. My tracking shows clearly item landed in their country and its awaiting customs clearance and is available to customer . But ebay just took funds from my managed payments and gave it back without my knowledge to the customer. I only came to know 4 mnths later when reconciling my account. Still trying to get my funds back and really upset about how they have done this. Has this happened to you?

You don't understand it, you are just as bad as eBay.  Why don't you get it? They closed the case in my favour when the case was initially opened, so why the darned heck then did they not notify me during that 30 days that they had reopened the case and simply decided to refund the seller when the proof showed it was in their customs? That is dodgy to say the least. Just because a customer rings eBay and throws a tantrum they shouldn't pamper to them and betray the seller who did the right thing. See,s like you are from eBay management the way you are talking. Also who are you to say that $110 is not big enough money? It's a lot for me as a small seller and it's a lot for eBay too if they were to reimburse the customer from their own pocket. It's better to make the poor seller pay. Also I did not receive any communication that they were refunding the buyer after they closed the case in my favour. I will most likely appeal to ACCC as I feel robbed and have enough proof of tracking to show item landed in buyers country. EBay is at fault here whether or not you agree.

Can you do it like in mass at one time for all of your listings as I do intend to bar all of South American countries from past experience. The buyer knew it was in her customs but just decided instead of paying duties to appeal to eBay and get their order value back making me lose the goods and also the shipping I paid to FedEx for them. EBay should not have refunded them behind my back as I got no notification of them reopening the case after closing it in my favour. The person who closed the case lied saying I promised to give the buyer the refund whereas nowhere did I state this, in fact I stated clearly that I would not do so as my tracking showed it was in Argentina already.

Yes it's stressful as they ke harping on and on about their 30 day policy for appeals even though they agree that they should not have reversed the case in favour of the buyer as the tracking does show it was being held in customs and was not lost or in transit etc. why they never informed me of reversing their original decision I can't fathom, I checked my messages but there was nada. Very strange. Infuriating. And they keep saying they'll escalate but won't.

Why don't you understand that members here can only go on the information you provide?

Why haven't you gone to the ACCC already?

Why are you posting this on the boards rather than taking the action you feel to be relevant?
