I recently sold my old mob and the buyer has asked for a refund as he said it was not Item as not decribed, yes I forgot about the micro sd card as I never ever used it but to tell you the truth I never knew that the ph had one (yes I am a bit backward in that), now the buyer told me that the sd card slot is broken, how could it be broken if I never used it in the 3yrs I had the ph. With numeorus calls to ebay and emails (don't get me started on those what a nightmare to try and contact them), I told ebay, how would I know if the buyer didn't out the sd card in the wrong way around and damage it leaving me with a broken ph, also what is the point of saying in your listing you will not accept any returns if the seller is made to give a refund and pay for postage returns just seems to be unfair to sellers, I mean if you brought something from a second hand shop or markets etc, you can't get a refund so why should this be allowed for sellers to have to issue refunds if the item is second hand the buyer is the one that will make money they get their postage costs back, it seems to me ebay like to take your money and not give a toss about sellers, my ebay selling is 100% , ebay favours buyers and not sellers.

Buyers have the right, BY LAW, not eBay or seller whim, for a refund if an item is not as described. 'No returns' applies to change of mind.
The markets are not a valid comparison as the buyer can look and feel the item at a market. They can't do that on a computer and have to rely on the seller accurately describing the item.
How do you know the slot wasn't damaged? You claim you have never used it. For all the buyer knows, you didn't use it because you broke it 3 years ago when you first got the phone and tried to insert the card.

Yes, but how do I know he didn't damage it so it is his word against mine, I never used and I will state that under oath, on a stack of bibles etc etc, etc, etc, sorry it is second hand just that second hand anmd he had over 10 days to ask me if the sd card slot was working, if he had asked I would have found out if there was a problem so really the onus is on himsef as well. I have brought stuff on ebay and other sites that haven't been described like the listing but you know what I sucked it as I know I was buying something of the net, sorry but ebay it starting to become nothing more than a sham and scam for sellers they like to take your money but try and get some customer help forget the seller always loses

The problem with that is, you don't actually have any factual information to defend against his word, because never having used it means you don't know whether it was fully functional. In this case, you can only say "I don't know", which I'm sure really sucks, but I'm afraid it's nowhere near a good enough basis to presume the buyer is scamming you.
Don't get me wrong, I have had my fair share of scamming buyers, and have plenty of empathy for sellers who are experiencing similar, but you can really only defend against it with known and verfiable facts, and in this case only the buyer seems they might have that.
Personally, in a case like this I would just accept the return, and inspect the phone once I had it back - if you don't feel you can trust the buyer, open and check the returned package in the presence of verifiable witnesses.

If you owned the phone from new and never used the sd card slot highly unlikely it would be broken, possibly they put inserted the sd card incorrectly or if the phone runs Android in earlier version you needed to go into the settings and enable micro sd card after insertion, sometimes even format as well.

A score of 1232 and your now only discovering "Ebay doesn't give a damn about the sellers "! Welcome to the real world.
I've put SD cards in and there is only one way they go in all the way, that's the right way. Like someone said, it may be a sofware issue. The card needs to be registered with the phone through the phones menu.
