Ebay double dipped on postage

eBay appears to have not paid me enough! I recently sold an item listed for sale on eBay for $14, and eBay paid me $8.67. That part is okay, as I understand the final value rules. But then eBay deducted $11.25 from my account for the cost of the postage label, leaving me $2.38 out of pocket for selling the item.

Shouldn't eBay have given me the total payout of $8.67 + $11.25 (total = $19.92) and deducted the $11.25 after the item was posted? They paid me that way before for other items I sold, and it was okay.

eBay is double-dipping on postage, receiving dollars for the postage from the buyer and seller.

I've decided not to sell on eBay again after this fiasco.

you should have been paid $18.25 postage (minus fees, of course)

Check the order details to see if the buyer had paid postage.   It's also listed as pick up,  although normally then you cant create a postage label,  but first port of call is what the buyer actually paid.

Thanks for your reply twyngwyn. I was thinking that was roughly the amount I should have gotten paid too, but I can't seem to find any eBay contact for this, just an automated chatbot that consistently gives me wrong answers. I'd be most grateful if you could point me in the right direction to contact eBay.

Did you check the order details as suggested earlier.

 

Does the chatbot give you the wrong answers because its the answer you dont want to hear?
