I'm at a loss here.
Ebay has just refunded in full (without asking for the item to be returned) because the item was "LATE" acording to ebay's schedule "Get it Free & Fast by ???"
Despite the attached note saying delivery might take longer in peak periods, a buyer complained that it was "late" according to ebay's schedule and demanded a full refund.
Ebay obliged without asking for the buyer to send it back. I appealed but ebay dismissed my appeal.
What gives? So I can order an item on ebay, say it's late, get a full refund and get away with fraud?
I can't afford to give away my products.
What can I do?

HBH it says you can increase your chances of having fast and free badging if you do a whole lot of things including having one day handling time.
eBay also determines that other listings may be eligible that don't meet the general eligibility.
"Generally, listings with free, express postage and either same business day or one business day handling can qualify for Fast 'N Free.
The logo may also appear if we can estimate with a high level of confidence, based on the seller's and buyer's postcodes, that the item will be delivered within four business days"
Edit: Kind of snap DG .

😉
They should probably separate the list of recommendations - free postage is a requisite for Fast n' Free, but the other stuff isn't.
What a job someone would have if eBay decided to make the help pages actually helpful, and removed all ambiguities / vagaries. 😮

If you just removed all the current ambiguities / vagaries and did not replace it with the actual facts ... there would not be much at all left I reckon

Has anyone actually checked that they take in consideration public holidays when calculating estimated postage times, particularly when there are public holidays just for some states. Say if I post from QLD to VIC and there is a public holiday in NSW and the delivery route is interrupted.

Mmmm as the AP provides are "ambitious" and added to eBays supposed AP provided calculation of delivery times between postcodes ...
Not that you were asking me Dylan, but I have never attempted to explore that as I think it would simply do my head in

you have an impressive track record yourself HBH - and there is nothing wrong with having a different opinion than others.
I am just not inclined to post if the sentiments expressed in a post have already been stated by others, same as many others.

Gosh HBH your comment is distasteful, inappropriate and untrue.
