So, I've been a seller for about eighteen months now and generally content with things so this is my first whinge. From this morning Ebay appears to have changed search results so that there is no seller identity or location available on the first page of results - as a customer I really hate not having that information available immediately. As a seller I also hate the fact that price promotions no longer show in the first page of results so that customers will not know that a seller is running a promotion unless they click on the specific item. Anyone else feel likewise?

Thankfully, my search results reverted back to the good old way today. I can finally search effectively again.

I have never been able to see the location of the seller without looking at their feedback page
Never has it been shown on the results page for me

Location as in country - USA, Australia, UK etc. Was that not always shown on the first page?

Do you mean on the listing?
Or what "first page" do you mean?

As I said, I have only ever been able to see where the seller is registered by looking at their actual feedback page, never have I seen it anywhere else
Have a look at any of the numerous posts on here from people about how such information (where the seller is) should be shown on the actual listing, seems I am not the only one who has never seen it on the first page of results

On the page of items that come up when you do a search. You could always tell, at a glance, which country the items were located in.

I could be wrong, perhaps it was just my familiarity with the relevant sellers and where they are based. At a minimum it no longer identifies the sellers on the search page, nor any relevant price promotions. Do you, or anyone else, think that is a good thing for either customers or sellers?

" it no longer identifies the sellers on the search page"
Have you used the drop down box option to:
Customise > (show) Seller information

Thanks for your reply. I have included a couple of screenshots below which appear to indicate that I am already doing that. The search results pictured changed today - they have not been like this for the previous 18 months I have been here and I have not adjusted anything myself.

I know that sometimes details disappear if you're not logged in but in your screenshot you are.
All I can suggest is logging out, clearing cookies and cache, log back in, reset customise and if that doesn't work, try using a different browser.
Hopefully other suggestions will follow mine.
