Ebay is blocking buyers

I had a buyer blocked yesterday, they tried to purchase 13 times, no doubt it also effects the best match ranking.

Isn't it up to the Sellers to block buyers ?

Why would ebay block someone from buying from someone else ?????

first buyer today had three item unpaid for from 2 days ago, frustrated he contacted me saying he wanted to buy a few more items but it wouldn't allow him too. I had to add him to my exemption list so he could buy more then he paid. Just now another previous buyer had the same problem, just wouldn't let him purchase not sure why. So I would have lost out on sales for 7 items.

This problem happened about a month ago also.

I have checked all my auto blocks and there is nothing that would prevent anyone from buying apart from unpaids, it's unlikely the buyer from 2 days ago has received two strikes aginst him in that time.

It's not by choice. When ebay make changes something usually breaks. The blocking of "random" buyers (I think it is the listing doing it) has been going on for ages.

yeah the problem started at least 4-5 months ago .. heaven knows how many sales people are missing out on as in all probability they would give up and buy from another seller or go off site to buy .. I know I can't be bothered contacting ebay to find out what is going on so doubt many would make the effort to contact the seller to find out why they are blocked .. I have had quite a few contact me, it is a real pain in the ass as you just know that this is one of the reasons sales are slumping ..maybe they are meant to spend their money with ebay insiders instead .. who knows ..  apparently they get a message telling them that you don't post to their location ..

Usually buyers that get blocked keep trying until it ends up working. The ones that just give up I send an email to asking them to contact ebay about the issue, and also to see if they still want to buy. I have never had a response in about 10, the emails probably get blocked too.
