Ebay protecting sellers...again

So a buyer purchases a computer and out of the blue leaves a negative (my only one in years) stating postage was slow and system unprofessionally built.
I won't even go into the BS about the build when all I have had is buyers saying the opposite to that for 12 years.
The issue is he left feedback about a third party, delivery service, which the online tracking proves he is lying.
Item was sent within 24 hrs and delivered on time.
Ebay response? Tough luck.
Even though their own policies do not allow false feedback to be left regarding third parties.
Added to this the buyer calls me and says he will remove feedback if I refund half the price of the system ($700)
Should I point out the guy has left 35-40 negatives to other sellers in the last year?

Thanks Ebay for your amazing professionalism and protection of sellers.

Re: Ebay protecting sellers...again

Thank you as they will be added to quite a few special lists,(going by the comments that they've left with the

negatives and I've added them to my lists as I prefer to not deal with them).

Unfortunately the negs are spaced apart and can't be reported as a serial neg leaver,(eBay only seem to act

on serial neg leavers if they have left a string of negatives, one after the other).

These type of "buyers" they tend to term as being entitled to their opinion.

I wouldn't trust them as they seem to be a nasty piece of work,(I would say that they would know how to

manipulate the system to get refunds)stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

Re: Ebay protecting sellers...again

I wouldn't be in the least worried about the comment about slow shipping.

No one else seems to be saying that, in fact quite the opposite. A number comment on the fast despatch.

So I'd say his comment about postage would have zilch effect on any potential buyer.

The part about the product is what you should be worried about. That's the bit a buyer is most concerned with & it's the exact bit ebay would not remove. So what if an item came a day late. What most buyers want reassurance about more (I imagine) is that the product is good quality.

Unfortunately you have 2 comments in a row that cast a slight doubt on the product. The comment below that neg suggests (to me anyway) that the system didn't come with quite the program the buyer was expecting. That could be his own fault from not checking the ad, I haven't looked.

But comments that question the quality would always have me trawling through the ad with a fine tooth comb to double check exactly what i would be getting. Not saying it would stop me buying, just that it would make me extra cautious.

The buyer wants you to refund half in order for him to change the neg? Tell him he's dreaming.Smiley Mad

Honestly, it is not worth even a tenth of that to get it removed as your record stands up to scrutiny.
