I'm not too worried about my payments coming through in a couple of days, but why don't eBay give me the full amount? for example: If I received payments of $1,000 over a weekend, why then on the Tuesday you might receive a payment of $50, the Wednesday $150.00. So as you are selling more than what ebay is giving back...Who's holding my money?. If this continues at this rate and I have supplier to pay at the end of the month, ebay's reatining most of my funds I can't access?
Anyone else having the same problem of ebay not fully paying out?

I brought this up weeks ago, I have at this stage ceased selling on ebay. I have listings running till they end , ebay stopped my free listings .
They are a selling platform, Paypal deal with coin. I knew this change was going to be beneficial to ebay and a detriment to sellers. My argument was over ebay having total control over funds and my bank account. Try talking to someone in ebay if you need them regarding an issue with funds , payments and your account. , I mean a person. This is playing out exactly as I thought.
I am not a business I am a joe blogs that sells periodically, everything with the new set up seems to relate as though all sellers are businesses with abn's and tax write off's. A business. Surely this system is not meant for one time selling next door neighbour to sell johnnys toys or unwanted tools and the like.
The new payments methods for buyers means they are happy to get people into debt, I know the individuals choice, but really. I imagine they have a large share holding in these institutions. who knows
I had refused to join ebay plus as I was not happy with some of the underwriting, and bugger me I pay enough fees never mind forking out another $50 per annum, they get more than that of me now with their how the hell is it legal commission on postage. I get satchel , I address it , I pack it , I go to post office and post and they skim from it. I know why they said they brought that in due to excessive post but that could have been dealt with without a cash grab. Gouge gouge gouge.
Its gonna get worse before it gets better if it does get better. Choice was taken form the owner of the goods being sold..OPTIONS
Get real community and get back to swap meets etc, only waste a day on a weekend, get paid straight away and no headaches.

Yes understand your frustration.
We also went through the "I'M NOT SENDING ANYTHING TILL I GET MY MONEY!!!!!" Scenario.
But over the last couple of weeks am now settling down, and can confirm that funds are getting through eBay's system relatively easily. It was very disturbing initially, as we have always had the mantra "Don't ever, ever send anything till $ are in my hand".
Totally agree that PayPal's system was smooth sailing and very easy to watch, and we loved their platform for ease of use. But eBay wields the stick now, so we have to accept that change is here and have to work out how to use their system. We are on daily payments but still approx 2-3 days before receipt of funds, have to wonder why they can't do what PP used to. ie $'s available immediately.
You can view the sale and your funds by clicking on "Payments" tab at the top of your Manage your orders page. Click on the other points underneath and you will see some other relevant info.
Probably still early days for the new system, and would expect that they will tweak it a bit more as time goes by.

This is what I am dealing with: just got this message today. I still can't access my money and have no reassurance it will even arrive. For this reason, and the fact this is my first transaction with the new system, I will be waiting to see the money before I send anything. Who knows "where" my money is right now - they have sent mixed messages and had delays already. Right now, eBay sucks - I won't be selling on there any more and will remove my last item for sale from there later today and sell it on a platform that works.
Your payout is on the way
AU $XXX sent on 16 Mar, 2021
Payout ID: XXXXXXXXXX
Hi Adam,
We sent your payout of AU $XXX on 16 Mar, 2021 to your bank account ending in XXXX. It will take 3-4 business days to reach your bank account. For more details, please visit the selling section of My eBay.
So my money was clear and finished processing yesterday, it even said my next payout day was yesterday - I got nothing, then later it said my new payout day is today...so I will be waiting. Yes this is a whole new system that confidence needs to be built on, but eBay has been getting worse financially, not better over the years for sellers. Being publicly listed it's all about the bottom dollar for share holders, forget common sense and remaining the world's number one selling platform. They are slowly creating their own demise as other selling options appear and create their own trust. I will still buy on eBay, but won't sell!

I haven't been offered MP yet. but I have a couple of questions.
Firstly is it compulsory to sign up with it? also is there a cut off date for this?
Secondly if someone pays you, should you send the item and trust that you eventually get paid. Or should you wait until the money has come through before posting.?

Secondly if someone pays you, should you send the item and trust that you eventually get paid. Or should you wait until the money has come through before posting.? Yes you have to post and trust that the money comes to you eventually; don't worry, for most of us the transition was painless.
