Ebay says payment pending, Paypal shows nothing

Hi all,

I haven't sold for a while and an item of mine was just purchased (last friday).  She paid via PayPal immediately.  Now, on ebay it says "payment pending" but when I go into my paypal account there is nothing there.  No payment details, no payments pending....nothing.   I've received echeques before, but they usually show up in paypal as pending.  Any ideas what might be happening?

Have you changed email address? I had this one last week,it looks like an eCheque & says is being processes but no sign of it in PayPal.

The payment is floating around in limbo.Check your email address attached to the PayPal account.

Ask the buyer to cancel the PayPal payment.

Re-send the invoice.

Ask the buyer to pay with the new invoice.

If it is a wrong email address or one with a typo then resending the invoice will do nothing except cause the same thing to happen again,

If you have used an old email address you once had linked to Paypal then give them a call and ask if they can transfer the payment, If it is an email address never linked to Paypal or one with a typo then you need to send the buyer a Paypal invoice from your Paypal account direct (once they have cancelled their payment) and hope they are experienced enough to know that they are still covered for buyer protection and it is not a scam.
