Explanation of "Buy Now". How do I operate if an auction has started,

I have an item in an auction and I have been asked for a "Buy Now" price. Can both exist or must I cancek the auction first?

Many thanks,

Robin as the item already has a bid you cannot add a Buy it Now.

if it originally had a Buy it Now it would have disappeared immediately 1 bid was placed, it is then an ordinary auction.

you could cancel the transaction and relist with a buy it now for this person, but they usually ask because they fear it will sell for a lot more than they are willing to pay if the auction runs its full time.  be carefull, you may upset the original bidder, and the buy it now person may not go thru after you have cancelled and relisted.

I would let the auction run it course. Tell the person if it doesn't sell at auction you will do a Buy It Now for them.

Noticed that you have also offered "Cash On Delivery". Perhaps you should list as "Cash On Pick-up" unless you are prepared to deliver the item!

If the BIN is supposed to disappear when you get a bid why is my BIN still there and if someone offers the BIN now what would be the right thing to do?.

Thanks

The BIN option on your listing won't disappear unless the reserve is met, as even though there are bids, none of them are successul (so no one is winning the auction), and anyone could still click Buy It Now to purchase it.
