FVFs Higher than Subsciption Says they would be.

Ok, so my current store subscription says my FVFs would be $0.30 plus 10.7% and yet this month the FVF of my sales has hit 16.1%

I'm a top rated seller with eBay Plus membership.

Can anyone please explain this to me?

There is still GST to consider.

I just took a look at one of my transactions.

It was 10.4% variable FVF

30c fixed

GST

On a sale of $32.15, I paid $4.01, which is 12.5%.

On another sale, the percentage worked out at 13% on the nose.

Go to one of your transactions and open it to see the total fee deducted. Then use a good online percentage calculator to tell you exactly what the combined total fee deduction percentage is.

Your overall FVF percentage will be higher if you use any subtitles or promotions. Since there is a charge for Ebay Plus, then you will need to factor in the cost of that spread across all the transactions for the month

Have you factored in GST?

Have you deducted 30c (33c actually with GST) before calculating your percentages?

What does your invoice say?

What do the individual transactions say? Mine give me a breakdown of the %, then the 30c, then the GST. I am also TRS, which doesn't affect fees on either of my TRS accounts.

What do you think other members can do?

What relevance do you think eBay plus has?

eBay do not read or respond to board posts, so all you are contacting is other members.

You need a new calculator!!

$32.15  @  10.4%  + 30c  + GST   =  $4.00 .89c which is rounded to  $4.01

Damn you ebay,  right again.

I’m asking here because eBay help desk is a useless as an outhouse on a submarine.  Last time I asked them a question I was told it’s a computer decision and it can’t be overturned and they are not allowed (company policy) to tell me why the computer made the decision.

My invoice says 16%.

I thought eBay plus may have effected the calculation, that’s why I mentioned it.

With the attitude I’m getting from your reply, maybe you could get a job at eBay help desk.

You also have your store subsciption  + any promo fees or extras, postage etc, when calculating monthly invoice.

The invoice shows all fees and charges as a percentage of total revenue, so it is always higher than the FVF alone because it will include any other fees you've paid (the flagfall, postage labels, store subscription etc).

eg Let's say someone sells something for $100 (including post). They pay 10.7% in FVF, 30c flagfall, and buy a label through eBay for $9.30, which will total $20.30 - their invoice will shows fees at a rate of 20.3%
