Hi Trev here,I recently sold a galaxy S3 i9300T in for parts and not working, the screen was cracked, but all other functions still worked,I mentioned in the listing that the phone would not be posted till the funds cleared into my bank account from pay pal approximately 3 days, the guy bought the phone and i replied,i will post as soon as the money was cleared to my bank,He replied rudely and said no that's not good enough, you got the money you should post it,i said cant you read the item description, any way over the week end passed and i posted it on 7/05/2013 and i marked it as posted on the 8/05/2013,it took 2-5 business days to get from me to him,on the 4th day, there is a pay pal depute waiting for me,pay pal froze my money, any way i sent the tracking details to pay pal his item was delivered in time and he lost the depute,i got my money back,so he got smart and left me bad feedback,my first bad feedback in years, what gives him the rite to do this.the item was delivered on time and it was as described,I contacted ebay about this and got a message back saying they cannot remove it,ITS JUST NOT FAIR.

ie. If I put as a term and condition inmy listing that I send all items via registered post with sig
but after the sale and pre delivery... the buyer emails and demands
"I do not want my item sent registered post with sig.. no way I am never home and will have to go to the post office to collect it" or even better adds If you sen the item via registered post then I will leave you negative feedback
and then.. does exactly that and
leaves me a negative feedback stating "the item was sent registered post with sig" or in fact any comment with a negative symbol
I would use whatever means neccessary to have that maliciuos feedback removed because the buyer bought the item with the intention of disrupting the listing which can be proved via the post sale email demands

You are quite within your rights to wait for payment to clear before posting, but unfortunately its something that tends to annoy people. Better just to put a 3 day handling time and not mention why.
Even then there is no guarantee that the money will clear in 3 days.. Personally, I wouldn't buy off a seller who had in their terms that they wouldn't post until money had cleared.. However, if they had a longer handling time it wouldn't bother me at all as there could be other reasons for not posting the day after sale...
Best to put in your listing that you have a 5 day handling time, that way if the payment does clear in 3 days you can post the item and the buyer will be happy that it didn't take the full 5 days to be posted...

No you didn't do anything wrong, but neither did the buyer. Feedback is a buyer's perception of the transaction, there is nothing inflammatory in the buyer's feedback so there is no reason why it should be removed.. However, your reply to the comment makes you look bad, which is often what buyers look at when they're looking at NEG feedback.. How a seller replies to the feedback often speaks more about the seller than the feedback left.
Threatening to take the issue to Facebook didn't make you look any better either.

I just hope that your buyer knows that he can apply to have the feedback reinstated....it did not contravene feedback rules in any way and should not have been removed. You kept the buyer waiting after he had paid for the item so as far as he was concerned you provided bad service.

Lyndal 1838 you are wrong, the buyer disregarded the terms in the item description, that's the only reason i got my negative feedback removed, read ebay policy, the buyer agreed to and then disregarded the sellers "term and condition" of the sale... they could have moved on to another listing that did not have that term and condition but chose not to.

yup, in the end of the day the buyer annoyed him or herself by agreeing to the sellers terms and conditions, the unjust feedback was rightfully removed
and the buyer got what they paid for anyhow, everyones happy:-D
