Apparently being able to create postage lables through ebay for a limited number of Australia Post services is enough. to charge FVF on all postage service and packaging and handling costs.

It has nothing to do with printing labels. They are just bringing the Au site into line with the US where fvfs have been charged on the total price for quite a few years now. Obviously they have checked out the legallity of implementing the policy and they are merely performing the task any company is meant to perform which is making the most money they can to keep their shareholders happy.
Instead of moaning I am just grateful that it did not happen a lot soon, I have been expecting, and indeed preparing for it, for years.
It says in this book I am reading that by 2065 80% of women will be overweight.
See what a trendsetter I am?

Ah! That explains why eBay can legally get away with charging a fee on another company's service. Thank you for that. And that explains why when I lodged complaints with the ACCC and Fair trading, both of them informed me that there was absolutely nothing that they could do about it.

problem with the US example is they have competition for parcels in their country making postage more affordable where we have a monopoly carier with a few capital City cariers in the mix not really offering any price competitiveness.
Aust. Post are a rip off!
