Well I certainly don't sell a lot. Lucky to sell a maximum of 4-5 items a month on average. I am by no means a power seller, just offloading some collectibles I've accumulated over the years. There is no way I am inclined to open a business store

Re: Free 3 relisting gone... Must use business policy.

Exactly! Like you, on the Id in question I only sold 62 low value items over a 12 moth period.

How dare they change me from a private seller to a business WITHOUT permission. It's the last thing I want! I am wondering if it's actually legal. If there are ramifications attached to this, we might need advice from TB.

I actually didn't want to be a powerseller either; I think they changed the requiremants there (lowered it) and it's now becoming obvious why they did it.

However, I don't get the 3 re-listings on this ID either, and I have friends who have feedback of 64 and are battling to sell i item per month due to the nature of the items they have, and they no longer get the 3 free re-lists either.

So there are 2 issues here:

1. It appears that the 3 free re-lists have suddenly stopped.

2. Changing a seller from private to business. This is the one that worries me most.

I sell about 20 ish a month. I opened a store because of the listing fees etc. It was good with the 3 free listings. We will have to plonder on. I'm not sure why the Postage Policy has changed when I do a new listing. I would like to know.

Would suggest that was their plan make all sellers of a few items a month into Frequent sellers as a Business and now churn us over to be Business sellers at a Fixed Cost. Digusting Act on Ebays Behalf . Oh I forgot they are losing sellers left and right due to their Policies

Re: Free 3 relisting gone... Must use business policy.

I have just received 2 replies to my messages today.

The first said that There is a threshold which is more than 100 sales or $12k in sales in 12 months.

I replied to say I was under the threshold on both accounts.

They then repied with "you can see in your seller dashboard that since the opening of your account, your total sales is already 2,537 and not to mention your total sales US$38,870.86."

That is the total since I joined in June 2006

That means I have sold  US $4318.98 per year which is AU

So I was ended up being told This is why the feature is no longer available for you.

Re: Free 3 relisting gone... Must use business policy.

This is the reply that I got a few minutes ago...........love the BREAD CRUMB Help Contact at the end of the reply I got.......

Thank you for contacting eBay regarding the automatic relist feature.

I understand that you want to list your items with the automatic free relist on. Essentially, the new auto relist feature is only available to new and casual sellers. Regular sellers are sellers that are not registered as a Business, not a PowerSeller or is not subscribed to an eBay Store and with less volume of sales. Due to the volume of your sales history, this feature will not work for you.

I do understand if you misconceive the auto relist feature and why they are not available for business, Top rated or PowerSeller status.

The reason why the ‘auto relist’ feature is only available for non-business new, occasional or regular seller, to encourage new sellers to list/sell more items until they have build a good standing status on their account and they are used with the process of selling on eBay.

As a busines seller with a high volume of sales, you have also benefit that you can gain with regard to your sales. It helps drives sales since most buyers would prefer to buy items to the seller who provides great service because buyer’s know the seller offers great customer service. Also, it helps to improve your listing in the search visibility due to the amount of watchers or the item's popularity. For more information on the guidelines of this feature, please refer to the link below.

Re: Free 3 relisting gone... Must use business policy.

What a load of garbage about the threshold. It was established a while back that it was 100 items AND $12K, not or. As for the TRS and PS status, most of us have been both for over 12 months and still had them. Yes, I have sold over 100 items, but as a $ value it is well under $5K, which is why I still had the box until yesterday.

I lost the box briefly last year and sent eBay an email. They said then that it was probably because I'd sold over 100 items, but also said I hadn't reached the other monetary threshold of $12. They suggested to clear out the browser cache, which worked. I wish I could remember who the person was that replied, because they actually wrote a reply, it wasn't a cut and pasted, computer generated message.

I guess they've only cut their own throats because very few people are going to use any more than their monthly free listing allocation, so less things will get sold, which means less fees for them. Most experienced sellers won't pay for insertion fees.
