I was just relisting some unsold items & noticed a popup "relist 3 times for FREE" checkbox that had the default of the checkbox being already ticked, & needed unticking if you don't intend the unsold item to auto relist.
It also stated it was a new feature for new sellers. I'm not a new seller, so theoretically it shouldn't apply to me at all.
I thought this situtation might be confusing for genuinely new sellers using the 40 free per month or any other free listing offers. I believe that the free relist is not so free as it may seem. I've heard that if you exceed your free listing quota for the month, then the relist is charged for? Can anyone confirm?
I was wanting new sellers to know that if you view your "All Selling" page (LHS from your my selling or standard ebay landing page) & scroll right down to the bottom, you can see how many freebies you have left & any new offers. Don't get caught with unneccesary listing fees by leaving the default to auto relist! Especially if you are low on free listings for the calendar month. (Month resets 1st of month) I hope my post helps some here!

Afternoon, misspicky. Say hello to your mum for me.
This really should be in 'selling' not buying.
There is a thread there where at least one poster has tested it and found that an auto-relist doesn't reduce their available free listings. From what I read in the info against the offer, it shouldn't be taken from free allocations.
Mind you, I don't use my 40 per month on this ID and my shop one doesn't qualify.

I am sorry I got the wrong board. Tax law exam tomorrow, but Mum says I need to space out my 40 free listings & when I noticed that checkbox autochecked, I had to say something & ask questions. Thanks for your reply.

Mum says to say "HI" she's OK.

This is a different ID to the one I use for my shop (or QS).
I found 'Other Days, Other Eyes' for her a few years ago.

With all respects Sir; My Mum raised me to be respectful. I know who you are & Mum says I shouldn't say your name, though I know it, & that I should thank you for all the help with my book selling, both on QS & here.
One of Mum's Nannas used to say "Give Thanks for a gentleman of honour" Mum taught us that, along with "politeness costs nothing". I'm a Gen Y. Hopefully a nice Gen Y.

You're most welcome.
