Why do I have to pay EBay GST on Postage Costs associated with an item, when I don’t use them as a postage service.
I post items from a POST OFFICE and then pay more GST on that same postage cost.

I can't wait for them to realise they pay GST on the international shipping when buying from overseas, and if from USA/UK the GST on GSP will blow their mind!

Well it could be debated for ever, wow, that would be Oh so riveting.
Alternatively go see an accountant, A good one should be able to explain it to you in 60 seconds or less, A real good one will take over an hour to explain what they could have explained in 60 seconds and bill you accordingly, +GST.

Minor correction. You can have an ABN without registering for GST, as long as revenues are below $75k Once revenues exceed $75k registration for GST is mandatory. You need an ABN to register for GST but you can have an ABN without GST registration/

you are, of course, correct. Thank you for that.
My post was deliberately 'general' in nature.
I will say now, for all who read here, I have no training in financial matters, I am not an accountant and have never done the accounts for anybody (not even my own tax returns), I have never had an ABN, never registered for GST . . . any advice/comments I post do not come with any professional guarantee and can be assumed to be worth what I am paid to provide them i.e. $0
