Due to high ridiculous fees plus the new Paypal 180 days claims period, this selling platform

is no longer viable to your average home hobby seller.

I have enjoyed reading the discussion boards for good tips and advice...Thanks to all for your

time and imput to inform others.

I am certain there will be many more to follow.

Ebay's no longer the place to go for discounts. It used to be my first port of call for whatever I was looking for. Just today, I was looking for shearing combs and cutters for my shears. The cheapest I can get them for on eBay is about $35 for both. I can get them locally for under $20 with no postage. Sadly, due to the fees, sellers can no longer advertise the discounts that we all used to see.

They're not just turning the sellers away, the buyers are starting to look elsewhere for what they want to buy too.

You know things are bad when you can go to an eBay seller's private web site and buy the very same items for 10% to 20% less than those same sellers charge here. The excessive fees charged by eBay have completely ruined what used to be a good place to shop.
