18th June the following was posted ...
Listings that specify the listed item's condition provide clarity for potential buyers.
Now, in addition to selecting an item condition value (e.g. 'Like new', 'Pre-Owned', 'Refurbished') when listing an item, sellers can provide extra condition-related information in the Condition description field. This field is available for all items that are not 'New'.
You can use the Condition description field to help buyers quickly learn more about the condition of an item, for example, whether it has defects, missing parts, scratches, or other wear and tear.
Read more about specifying an item's condition in the Condition description field.

The link has been broken since the Announcement was first posted. :^O
Here's the correct link

You’re now able to provide additional condition-related information about your used items in the Condition description field - up to 1,000 characters.
(chokes on coffee)
Can you imagine what will happen, once those sellers who write seemingly whole novels of TOS see, they now have an additional option to write even more ??? :O:O:O:O

It doesn't even work. :^O
I used it on two listings the other day, and what I wrote doesn't appear anywhere on either of those listings - I've seen it on US listings, and it appears at the top, right under Item Condition: Pre-Owned (or whatever is selected), here there's just a blank gap.

Thank you sportsandplay 🙂
I didn't think it worked either DG. I too used it the other day but I couldn't see anywhere on my listings where it appeared.
That's why I wanted to read that link. To see what I was doing wrong lol.

I don't want or need to use it because I give detailed descriptions unlike sellers who think one short line is more than enough and fools who rely on photo's that don't show every fault.

I can't stand the one liners either.
I do think it could be a handy feature though for buyers to get a quick glimpse. It could also bite sellers in the backside too if buyers don't read the description once they are happy with the "quick condition".

My book fault descriptions are one liners. The more faults, the longer the line. I aim for short lines - preferably "As new".
I don't use the new facility because -
a) The information is already an integral part of my description; and
b) They haven't updated Turbolister to include this field, and that's what I use to list.
