Green customs forms tracking

I heard that the green CN22 customs forms we use have some type of tracking on them.

Someone on another forum mentioned that they are able to input the number into Aus Post and it will show the package even arriving at its destination.

She wrote:

" You can use the number on the green Customs form (the one that starts UC and ends AU) to track the package through the local postal service, once it reaches the destination country. I have tried this with US and UK so far and it works. You may not see multiple scans, but you can see when it is delivered".

I guess you have to make sure your PO scans it in the first place and make a note of the number as you don't get any part of the form back when you lodge.

Re: Green customs forms tracking

Still a bit confused if the green forms can be used on letters? They say for parcels only. My post office has these. I wonder if others here had success using these since covid-19 for letters? I have heard others say they mark them as documents and Aus post delivers them as per usual. I have been sending with sendle and my int. sales have dropped so much.

Is there any particular reason you respond to years old posts asking questions about current situations?

Surely, if you were that concerned, you would post new, relevant, questions.

Yeah, because when i start new threads (in most forums) they say google or this has been gone over 100 times before :).

It's really easy on the discussion forums here, just click on "new message" at the top of the page and go from there - otherwise bumping outdated threads makes you look a tiny bit foolish.
