I get bank deposit payments quite often - and have NEVER received an email from a bank to tell me the money has been transferred, so to me this is a scam straight up.
Simply tell your buyer you cannot post anything until the money has appeared in your account... I doubt you'll hear much more from her.

Sorry, post malfunction! The buyer you are talking about has bid on 10 electronic items in the last hour. I'm talking laptops, video games, digital cameras etc. (I could see this by looking at your completed listings and checking the bidding history of the winning bidder -I apologise PROFUSELY for the intrusion)
I could be being unfairly suspicious but unless they are happy to buy such electronic items in bulk it looks odd to me. Usually if I want something of this nature I bid on say one laptop at a time!
Apologies again for the intrusion, I just hope it gives you a bit more info . . .

You're not being overly suspicious I'd already pointed that out back in post #7. Definitely suss.

That in itself is not suspicious. I am with St George Bank and I have the option to email a copy of my receipt to
whoever I pay via Bpay, direct debit or any other bank service.
I never bother, but I am sure there must be people who use the service.

You are almost certainly being scammed. Use advanced search to pull their contact details and if the phone number is bogus contact ebay Trust & Safety and explain what is happening. If the contact details are OK and you speak to them make it very clear that you are not going to send it until you have cleared funds in your bank account.
I presume the buyer wants it posted to an Australian address, you cannot post laptops overseas, and if you do get any money send it by regular, registered post with a road only sticker on so that you are complying with AP's policy on posting items with lithium batteries.
It says in this book I am reading that by 2065 80% of women will be overweight.

Thats why I asked the OP Lyndal-St George DOES send emails to recipients if you tick the box & put the other partys' email addy in-nothing suss about it.

Just don't send it until you have payment in your account.
Open unpaid item dispute if its not there within 4 days and block bidder
If this buyer has bought several high end electrical items it does sound fishy

Ok there is only one hard and fast rule here the laptop get sent when money is cleared into your account, this should take a min of 3 days from an account that isn't the same bank as yours and up to 5 days if international.
The buyer if legit will wait for this to happen and the transaction is a fake they will pressure you into sending it by threating you with ebay and like after 5 days do a non payment on it this will flush out if it's a fake or not
