Has anyone else had strange feedback?

I sold a brass item back on June 8 & on June 30 I received the strangest positive feedback.

I am usually very quick at leaving feedback after the buyer leaves theirs, but I have been very slow at leaving feedback for this buyer, as I have no idea what he means by the feedback he left.

I have to be careful of how I describe the item as Mr Censor might just scrub the question, as has happened before when some words are taken out of context.

Yes, every now and then we do get an odd comment but I would just leave whatever feedback you normally use. We leave feedback as soon as items are posted and don't worry about whether buyers leave feedback or not.

I assume you are referring to "One flash your ash. Thanks"

There's nothing there to worry about. On checking his other feedback, he has doesn't leave deep & meaningful comments. He's guilty of nothing more than being a bit flippant.

Leave your regular response, the guy's OK.

In other words be careful when your are creating sparks!!

[Quite funny really.]

As a seller why are waiting for the buyer to leave FB first? The buyer apparently has done everything he was supposed to do, WIN, and then pay. That should be postiive FB straight up from a seller. A buyer can NOT do anymore action than that.

If for some reason the buyer is unhappy with their purchase, then undoubtedly an exchange of messages may take place in an effort to achieve a solution. Therefor, the transaction has not yet concluded and the seller has the right to leave feedback with regards to their experience of the whole transaction, if they choose to leave feedback at all, considering it is still voluntary for both the buyer and the seller, I believe.

If the buyer turns out to be one of those change of mind buyers who makes unreasonable requests, a scammer or becomes abusive or any other number of scenarios, the seller may not feel inclined to recommend them to other sellers by leaving positive feedback, and thus leave no feedback at all seing as a seller cannot leave negative feedback in order to share their experiences of the transaction.

IMO, the transaction is not concluded until the customer has acknowledged receipt of their item and indicated that they are happy with it, either via the PM system or feedback.

No, I do not insist my buyers leave me feedback first, however I do not leave feedback until I am satisfied that the transaction has been completed.
