Has anyone noticed that buyers are not leaving feedback recently?

I've noticed lately that many buyers are not leaving feedback so now I'll be waiting until they do before leaving mine (as a seller). Is this OK?

Feedback is voluntary. Like you, I always left it but got very few in return, so now I leave it after it has been left for me. Occasionally I'll leave it first (and not get any back), but I mostly leave it now.

I look at it this way, at least if they don't leave feedback, there is no chance of a negative, or trashed stars, or defects!!

Why?

Feedback is voluntary, you can leave it at any time or not leave any at all.

As a seller I like to leave feedback as soon as we've posted items. We get a lot of repeat buyers and the quickest way for them to find us is by clicking on their feedback.

Feedback is vountary however I leave every buyer feedback once their payment is received and their item posted. I also have a large number of buyers who dont leave feedback but thats life. Always be happy for the sale and disregard lack of feedback. I have quality buyers who's business i really appreciate and they never leave feedback but they keep buying!!!

I have always left feedback when I have posted goods.

I always appreciate it when buyers take the time to leave me feedback, however I do not expect it and I would never, even in a pink fit, chase buyers to leave feedback. 

I chose to leave feedback to say a public thank you, confirm exact date posted and so that buyers can more easily find my store again

I too will always leave feedback as soon as the cutomer has paid as they have held up their end of the transaction. I also understand that feedback is voluntary and that is also fine.

Personally I just find it very difficult when you have selling limits in place and you are unfortunately relying on those feedbacks.

eBay want me to have 25 more feedbacks in place before they will review my limits again, thank goodness they reduced that from 50 for me 🙂

I have managed to sell 5 items this month at cost price hoping to get the required feedback numbers quicker but I have recieved 1 feedback from a customer!

On my main selling account I do have over 700 positive feedbacks but I guess I am being punished for taking time off.

At this rate it will be late next year or 2016 before I can list enough items again.

Why not do what the Chinese do and buy a whole lot of cheap 99c items from different sellers over the next week or so?

You'll have those extra 25 feedbacks that you require in order to list more items in no time at all.

Have you linked both eBay accounts? If you have another account with recent selling history and good feedback you can usually get an immediate increase in selling limits.

So although I have selling limits, if I buy stuff on my selling account and get feedback, that will go towards lifting my selling limits?

bigbrickshop - I did manage to get my limits increased slightly because of a very good past history / record by contacting eBay but they would only lift it a little.

Hi Everyone,

This is  my first post/reply so apologies if I have made an error.

I was just wondering why lately it seems, that buyers wont leave you feedback.

Even if you have sent a reminder if the wouldn't mind, seeing I have left it form them.

I think it's rude and ungrateful, when I always make a special effort when posting items,

I will email them just to let them know I have just posted their item. I always put something nice in with

it, specially at Christmas item, I have added Christmas scatters to their item posted and they cant seem to be bothered

to leave feedback. So I have decided that I am not leaving feedback as I always used to asap, soon as they have paid I always leave excellent feedback for them, my feedback is 100% and every feedback counts to me.

Really disappointing in some members lately.

I'm very interested to read all your posts/comments to see it does seem to be happening a lot lately.
