Hi
I could have sworn they were going to attach something to the "Man Cave" promotion they've got going on. I thought they would have said sell big so you can fill you're man cave. Maybe they're saving something big for Christmas. That would be great but I really need it now.

Yes i thought the man cave promotion was also going to be the one that offered them at first glance but sadly not to be..extra listings to help people get gifts for christmas is needed now more than too much later as it gives sellers time for payments to be received by customers and items to be sent..ect

When you think about it, it's possible that we have all just got caught up in a very clever marketing strategy.
A few months ago, most of us were probably happy listing the 200 "freebies" in the stores or the 40 on the regular accounts.
Now, eBay has convinced us that we "need" more listings, because all of a sudden we have more things to list than we realized, or have realized the benefits of listing more....
Just read the comments here, people are thinking of opening up additional accounts so they can continue to list more than the 40 that they got used to, and I'll admit, for a few moments, I considered upgrading my store to get more free listings...
I think eBay is training us.......

agree with you fordy. earlier this year 100 FREE listings was almost unheard of, free listings happened maybe a few times a year, now the regulars are expecting them every 14 days!!!

Like all posters here I've been awaiting a 100 free listings offer for this weekend. I admit I listed lots of new stuff & sent things here to ebay from my other selling site when the 7 day free 100 came up last time - now I'm sending them back to QS. One I sent back 2 days ago that was new on ebay sold there the next day & no fees! I've many in unsold & will just swap them around. It's all copy & paste!
My thoughts at the time of seeing the extended week long offer were that ebay was playing me for a sucker, enticing me to list more than 40 items, then hoping they'd reap the benefits from relisting fees on unsolds. If ebay won't give me a free 100, then I'll just use the 40 & shuffle things around! Other unsolds can wait until an offer from ebay comes along.
