Hey guys,
This may have been posted before however.
With ebay removing sellers ability to use listing addons like the feature plus ($49.99) how are the small starts suposed to compete with better ranked big dogs of ebay?
With ebays "best match" a default most buyers will see the sellers with big feedback scores even if your item is cheaper and you have small feedback.
Any tips/ideas?
Thanks in advance to all you wonderful people ๐

Under our real usernames, today we closed 4 ebay stores. Each specialised in something different.
We are unable to pay the increased monthly fees. increased final value fees, increased paypal fees.
We feel that we are not part of anything worthwhile any longer.
Four businesses mean 4 times the expense. I just don't understand why some can't use simple mathematics.....
I don't think itโs because eBay don't care for the simple reason every business cares what happens to their clients. It does come again to mathematics.... is it ecconomical for eBay to offer a service to someone even if it is not cost worthy to them?
I don't know their figures however, it seems obvious they have decided the store system in not useful business and are trying to encourage bigger business to use it.
I am sure also, if there is a need or there may already be something that would suite a smaller business better than what you are currently using.
I wouldn't mind betting you have no true business plans and have not looked at alternatives.
If you want to leave then leave but you don't have to keep repeating yourself.

I just came to the boards to discuss telstra getting rid of staff, but saw this. I am a really small seller, but both my husband and I buy quite a lot of stuff from ebay, so I just want to say that we both HATE the best match...........i normally put in price or go by the time factor ie ending soonest if I am on for a quick look, or newly listed for auctions.....also both of us ALWAYS click the Australia only box. The fact that we got loaded with all of the carp from China etc stopped us buying from ebay for a long time. I still hate it. We look at antiques and collectables etc and to me Ebay lost alot of credibility when their items listed in these sections from Thailand!!.......so just to sum up there are a lot of buyers out there that know how to go around what Ebay would like them to see and buy first.

Oztion (QS) is Australian!

As Much as I do not like the increase of fees from my angle if it reduces the competion then it is a plus in my store sorry to say that but it is true...........So many newbies come in with the same product and undercut you then I have to under cut them and in the end no ones wins! Free postage is not an option as postage is so expensive I do not know how some sellers do it!
I work at giving good honest business and I gather in the law of Karma it pays off. ๐
