I did look at this guide
http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/track-paypal.html
But in general, once the blue $ sign is there that is guaranteed money right?
So unusualy since this is the first time it happened.
They only purchased yesterday, mind you.
How often does this happen to people?

I'm not Penny, but shall answer because I'm here and I also use a posting ID. The answer is yes, you need to open another eBay account. This account is not set up to buy or sell, it's purely to post on here. The only details I put in were my name and email address. My home address or phone number are not there (hence not being able to buy or sell).
If you want to create a posting ID to protect your privacy, all you need is another email address. I created another one through my ISP, but you can create one using one of the free ones, like hotmail, yahoo or gmail.

When a payment shows as paid in ebay but is not showing up anywhere in Paypal it usually means there has been a typo in the email address for payment in the listing. To check if that is the case click on relist and go to the edit page and check carefully the email address that is in the payment section. It is not unknown for people to miss of the .au of the .com.au address or to transpose a couple of letters. Don't forget to cancel the listing instead of relisting after you have checked.

Yes, I checked the email was right.
All sorted now.

Yeh thanks,
Yet, some people have complained claiming that I own another account etc. Even to the stage where they actually complained to Ebay. This was not a good experience, and I am very upset.
I thought people would help me.
But yes, I have considered that.
But, I am sure someone is there to complain =/
I am just keeping within my guidelines

Having other accounts is not an issue erg, eBay allow that. What is an issue, and probably why people were not happy about it, is that it appeared that one of your accounts had been buying from the other, that is most definitely NOT allowed.
Let's not get into that again though, we are offering assistance, please accept it in the spirit in which it is offered.

Just as an aside and completely off topic some of us olduns find things such as people starting a question with Hey, Hay, or any other non word,.is bad grammar and very over familiar with people you do not know.
It annoys a lot of people nearly as much as using textspeak does!

Ebay already cleared me for this, and I still got an extra 100 listings with 45 days.
I am just saddened that people could not help themselves and had to complain, and I stated my position..
Really sad indeed. Just time wasters. I am more interested in selling, and trying to help people than complain about another member.
All good Penny, people like you make it worth it..
Hey and comma is ok.
Hey !
Hey,
It is just slang.
I am not old yet.
I just write the way I talk, and dont overthink it.

That is exactly the point, a lot of the experienced posters who you are asking for help are old and it really wouldn't hurt to treat them with respect. You know none of us personally and wouldn't it be better to try not to offend people?
You say you write as you talk, would you go up to an elderly lady in the street and say "Hey, do you know the way to xxx". I hope not.

Actually I would say 'hey', and I do.
The exclamation mark puts emphasis on the hey!
So, it is not like a yelling HEY.. just a hey.
Times have changed, and I do not make assumptions about the age group here.
Anyways, I am over this. Not really interested in talking about ethical dilemmas.
Thanks for your help
