Hi. Could some-one give me some advice on this item I sold.

Hello.

This is the first time I have posted a question so if I say something wrong please forgive me. I sold a large number of 44 woolworths dominoes item number is 161643065546 and it finished on the 28th March. They were posted with only $4.50 postage to the buyer I paid the extra for the postage so I could have tracking and hopefully not have another item go missing. They were packed safely in a bubble mailer and were perfectly sealed as I do not have anyone interested in collecting them and there was also an extra one I put in for the buyer. I have just received a message from the buyer telling me that half of them have been opened and there was a lot doubles as well. I would suggest that the buyer opened them and decided he did not want to keep them so now he wants to have his money back. Does any-one have any idea how I should approach the buyer in my message to him and how I should resolve it . He is obviously going to be difficult to deal with judging by his abrupt message to me. Thankyou for any-one who can give me some advise.

who would question them as  it was a trash and treasure market , i mean all other lines they were selling could of been stolen too , unless you were a woolworths boss  stroling around the market .

That's exactly how I feel this situation has panned out. So few read an entire listing anymore! I'm at least in a field where buyers will read the entire listing, if only to find out about packaging & etc.

Collectables is a minefield! Real collectors are usually very nice! The Woolies collectors are as I stated before are a bit "rabid" Not real collectors, just wanting the latest whatever at any cost! I reiterate to the OP seller - Daffodil - to stand her ground on this isssue.

EDIT for Joe The Nuts - My local is out of Dominoes. The manager has many boxes on his desk. You paint a picture for me of this scenario?

The sad thing about these tiles, plus all the previous cards that people were killing others for, in a year or so they'll just be landfill.

Sheepie, the cards are still being sold in collectables.

They seem to sell regularly but not for much

The tiles are better value IMO as they are a Dominoes game.

I got one the other day and it's just thin plastic in the packet - no foil. If you did it the right way you could probably see inside the packet without opening it.

It may not be the employees. It could be coming from higher up the chain.

I only get the odd one and I'm not interested so I take them to the local library and they leave them out for any of the kids who might be interested - one of the benefits of living in a small town where the librarian knows all the kids.

ok imastawka... some progress i got a star today ,  now if you look in te back f the packet  just flip te seal over to the right ,you will see a white part of the packet ,it reads made for woolworths  and bla bla. press with your fingers on to the tie and its see thru , but my tike is upsidedown ,and i can see 5 dots from the back of the tile ,now if some of te tilies were facing the other way you could see what it was, i asume this is how they see them ,but maybe they are put in the packet sme upsidedown,  if  not i will keep trying.

if the tile is facing the other way ,at the front of the pack on the bottom which is white you have to push the tile down and try and see as much of the tile and you will see the number or the name

OK.  I'm convinced, joe.

But I think the really hard part is actually getting the full set

in the first place.

Like I said, you get given them at random at the checkout.

You can't look at them and go  'Nah got that one, gimme another one'

Employees are the ones that get to go through the boxes
