Hi, I no longer am getting the option to automatically relist 3 times if my item does not sell.

I am no longer getting the option to automatically relist 3 times if my item does not sell, is anyone else having this problem, or can you tell me why.  I have been selling for many years.

Maybe it is related to tax reports ? ...... maybe you are an 'Ebay Business Seller' without realising it ? ......  Calling yourself a Business Seller and actually signing up as an Ebay Business Seller are different things.  Some sellers may have stores but NOT be signed up as an Ebay Business Seller? ...... just putting it out there (all very confusing) .......... mbselections00 has highlighted something there that others may not have considered.  I hope you do find a way to take advantage of the auto relisting as it represents considerable savings, even if that means starting a new ID.

Have you actually checked your account status?  I've seen comments in the forums before from people who've been made business sellers when they've reached a certain level of sales but they were completely unaware of it.

Perhaps I've missed it but I've never seen any business sellers say in the forums that they get the free relists.  I have, however, seen a lot of powersellers and people with large numbers of listings say they get the free relists, but they usually point out that they've never gone over the limit that would cause them to become a business seller.  Running a small business on ebay and actually being registered as a business seller on ebay are two completely different things.

It's 100 sales per year not 100 items because you can sell 100 items in one listing.

And it's $12K within a year and because I have sold $12K within the first year selling on ebay I was then classed as a power seller, but mind you this was over 16 months ago and since then I have only sold just over $2K so surely I shouldn't be classed as a power seller anymore? you would think so but ebay told me that once I reached the $12K mark then it stays with me,but I said how the heck does it because I have sold hardly anything in the past 16 months compared to the first 12 months.

Not getting any real answers from ebay regarding this matter except sorry but you don't qualify for the 3 free relists anymore blah blah.

Currently, you only have to sell $1,000 USD in a year to qualify as a powerseller, which is a LOT different to selling $12K like you've been told.  That alone shows that whoever gave you this advice is confusing powersellers and business sellers.  It used to be a higher figure but it was still way below $12,000 - I'm pretty sure it was $3K before they changed it a bit over 2 years ago, around the time you had your high sales.  I knew someone who cleared out a lot of craft items and she became a powerseller, and she definitely didn't sell anywhere near $12K worth!

If they meant business sellers (even though they said powerseller) then they are correct with their information, including that once you become a business seller it stays with you.

According to this help page (http://ocsnext.ebay.com.au/ocs/sr ) you can actually opt out of the Powerseller program by ringing ebay, but you can't opt out of being a business seller, so once again this would show they mixed up the different types of sellers.  Many people regularly gain and lose powerseller status as their sales rise and fall, including myself.

If you haven't checked your account status yet, click on Account > Personal Information, and at the very top under Account Information you'll find Account Type.  On mine it says Individual.

Please don't shoot me - I don't make the rules, I'm just quoting ebay in an effort to help you figure out what's happened.
