I am no longer getting the option to automatically relist 3 times if my item does not sell, is anyone else having this problem, or can you tell me why. I have been selling for many years.

Therein lies a very important issue. "a friend told me", "eBay told me", "another member told me", "I've sold $#k yet I'm stil getting them", "mine stopped at $#k", "mine come and go all the time", etc etc etc.
Some people don't even tell the truth. But for those who do, that is their experience. One thing that is very clear with this particular issue is that it seems to be different for some individuals and it may not even be related to their selling ID for all we know.

I have sold only $14K in 2 and a half years so how is that a business seller?
So every time I contact ebay about not receiving the 3 free relists and they tell me the same answer so you're saying they are all telling me the incorrect answer.
So then explain to me why there are heaps of business sellers that receive the 3 free relists then?
You said in your post at the bottom of the first page of this thread that you sold over $12K in your first year on ebay. After that year your account status would have automatically changed to business seller. Once you reach business seller status it doesn't matter how much or how little you sell in future years, that account will always be a business seller. It's in the rules somewhere that it can't be changed back but I'll leave you to look it up. The supervisors were right about it only needing to happen once but they got it wrong in that they referred to it as powerseller rather than a business seller.
Edit: I haven't seen any business sellers claim to get the three free relists. All of them state they've never sold $12K a year so they aren't business sellers.

Hello sorry but I am not a business seller period so you need to get your facts right

Open your eyes there are plenty of business sellers on these boards that get them

This is the page that says once you're a business you can't change back. The information on becoming a business seller once you reach $12K in sales in one year isn't easy to find but I have seen it before.

Well let me tell you something then, that means that everyone that sells on ebay is a business seller because if you sell, resell, make your own products to sell and sell a huge amounts of products then you are classified as a business.
Ok I can live with that but why can't I have the 3 free relists?
I can name 100s of sellers on ebay that sell huge amounts and they still receive the free relists, they have all said that they still do,or are you saying that they are lying?
Why would they lie?
Why don't I receive them?
You seem to know the answer to everything so please answer my question?

crow, am hearing your frustration, but no good taking it out on other members - they don't set the rules & they are just trying to help. I honestly think the answer lies in the first response you received :
There has been a number of threads about this particular topic. If you do a search here you'll find some interesting solutions that might work for your ID [seems to be ID-specific]. It seems as though it is different for everyone. Some say they haven't seen the option to automatically relist since their sales have increased (I was actually told once by an ebay person that once you reach a certain level of sales that it stops ...... hasn't happened for me and for many others).
There seems to be many reasons why some sellers get it & others don't (often just glitches in the listing system !) & the certain level may in fact not be the same for everyone.
I know this doesn't apply to you crow, but for the benefit of others who may read this thread, I don't get the 3 Free re-lists on this ID (small seller as I am), never have & never will because when I first started this ID, I was advised by the ATO that if I was buying with the intention of selling, then I should sign up as a Business Seller, even if I was only selling as a hobby. That said, I now realise the pitfalls, so my new ID (which incidentally is NOT linked to this one via eBay or PayPal) receives the 3 Free Auto re-lists (at least for now) - and I will just include & report sales data from that ID with my tax return, which I think will keep the ATO happy and I can enjoy the extra benefits here .

I should add, my hubby's ID was one of the ID's offered the original 'trial', way back before it was offered to let's say everyone who met the criteria. We only use it for selling unwanted household stuff, so small sales wise and would be far off 100 sales per year - but - we have never had a problem with availability of the option to use 3 Free re-lists, whereas on my new ID, I often have to find ways to 'Tick the Box' and have at times resorted to some of the methods mentioned in previous posts on this thread

I report all income I earn and pay tax but that doesn't mean that I should miss out on something that others receive in the same situation that I'm in.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
And I'm not having a go at any members, all I'm hearing is the same things as to why but none of them are relevant to me as I have pointed out many times as too why I was told that I'm never going to receive them by ebay.
So am just going to not bother anymore as there is no point in flogging a dead horse so to speak.
Some you win and some you loose.
Sorry to any members that I've offended in any way.

I agree, absolutely
Sorry to any members that I've offended in any way.
It just sounded a bit that way (well to me at least), and I hate seeing animosity towards others that is sometimes displayed on the boards, hopefully anyone who may have been offended will realise the tone was probably just frustration
