Hi there
I have just moved to New Zealand and was wondering if its possible to start a successful Ebay business over here as everybody seems to use Trade me and to be honest i haven,t had any sucess there. Any suggestions or advice would be a great help.
Many Thanks
Mark.

I've only bought a few things from eBay sellers based in New Zealand, but they were large sellers and I suspect they were able to compete with Oz seller's postal charges by taking a bit of a hit on it.
So depending what you sell, postage to Australia (if that's who you intend to sell to as well as NZ) may be prohibitive for you.

Hello Hughe and welcome ๐
i have no idea of your postage costs into Oz or international, and I don't know what you intend to sell. You might perhaps consider including international. It's not difficult to set up and there's plenty of help anyway.
When we started, most went to Oz, but these days quite a bit goes to the US.
Just a consideration.
i wish you well.
Melina.
PS....been over the ditch twice. What a spectacular and friendly place Enzud is :-:

As long as you don't decide to sell clothing or DVD's, then you could probably get something happening. I would be inclined to do both eBay and Trade Me. That keeps your options open and gets you the biggest audience. I'm not sure NZ has an eBay site any more, so you may have to list on eBay AU (or .com).
Best of luck to you!

The way ebay keep changing the rules I'd say that while you may not be actually risking your life selling here, it may be just as stressful as your former life!
