Higher level of non payments

ive been selling on and off this past 4 years and have this past 4 months started selling about 15 items aweek, resently it has been comming to my attention customers are simply not paying for there goods. I have just this week 4 non payments i have to deal with. I am happy to wait for payments if customers request it or if there is good commuication, but there simply isnt any commuication bewteen sellers and buyers. I read in there feedback pages and im not the only person who is missing out on payments. This week im missing out on $100 in sales and i can do nothing about it but relist. its very frustrating without good sellers there is no ebay. i feel like sellers are getting the raw end of the stick.

Re: Higher level of non payments

not unusual now for USA sellers to need a lot of time to give a final figure, many are now using Global Shipping or whatever its called, which means they first have to contact the shipper (Pitney Bowes), who have to get backto them with a price to do all the paperwork and ship to australia

since Global Shipping came in for USA sellers I have stopped buying from america, waaaay tooooooo expensive now for shipping.

your false positive feedback comment did not make any sense, sorry. I completely agree with the level of unpaid items on Ebay. it does need to stop and is a legitimate problem.

PJ means that sellers will react and leave a negative feedback to the buyer. Sellers can only leave positive.

Re: Higher level of non payments

before you close an unpaid item case, you can leave feedback, then close the case straight away, and then the buyer cannot leave feedback because they did not pay.

Rubbish! Why would a seller do that when they can only leave positive feedback? Think again.

you can leave a comment to warn other sellers about non paying buyers.

So NOT RUBBISH

You can, and I do, leave a comment for non-payers.  I always try to ensure that any comment I leave is  not sufficiently negative to warrant removal so I am not in breach of ebay policy.

I am always grateful for those sellers that do leave feedback to alert other sellers, IMO keeps a level of honesty and transparency in the buyer side of the feedback system.

Disgraceful.

666 purchases in a couple of weeks - what the hell is the trust and safety team doing to protect sellers from this loser.

Bet there will be a few more unpaid comments roll in ....

I've noticed this too. Ebay seems to have gone down hill. We only started selling on Ebay again in the last couple of months and have noticed that non paying customers aren't getting penalised, yet they are allowed to waste sellers time and losing out on a legitmate buyer with these non payers.

Disappointed and looking at other platforms to sell goods

Re: Higher level of non payments

You have posted on a TEN-YEAR-OLD THREAD!

A moderator will doubtless be along at some point to lock this thread due to its age, the cobwebs, the decrepit air, the overgrown weeds, and the zombies of posters long since departed giving guttural utterances.

You can start a new thread, though, and perhaps ask other members what strategies they have in place to deal with non-paying buyers.
