I just sold my first item Cash On Pickup.
Responding to the buyer's email about it I saw a note from eBay there saying don't give your contact details ... ?
So how, when, do I let the buyer know where to come, how to phone me?

I think the buyer needs to pay for the item then you can give them your details

I know it's cash on pickup but the buyer still needs to commit to buy and then you'll be able to give out your details.
The system is totally bonkers

This is their blurb on pick up items:
Which off course doesn't give you anything that you can use as it says:
In your item description or checkout instructions, specify when and how the buyer can collect the item. Don't add your full address, just the area will do. You then may need to get in touch with them after the listing ends to confirm the details of the pickup.
The last time I had a pick up item I sent my details in an invoice and the buyer selected pay on pick up,(it
was a while back so no clue as to if that's still the go).
You can under Account select Manage communications with buyers and the select Edit and Share your
phone number,(don't know it will work for this one but will for future items).
